QLA aims to provide a warm, relaxing and friendly atmosphere in its boarding environment.  The accommodation is excellent providing 4 man rooms for our younger cadets, and 3 and 4 man rooms for our older cadets.  All Rooms are on suite and very comfortably furnished.

We keep the cadets together by grade and age, which helps the cadets settle into life at QLA and also helps in bonding new friendships quickly.  The cadets immediately start to learn new life skills, such as cleaning their shoes, hanging up their clothes, cleaning and tidying their room for inspections, time management (being in the right place at the right time), personal management (making sure they have all the right schoolbooks and equipment when they leave the accommodation in the morning for school), all of which will help them in QLA and in their future endeavours.

 

Breakdown of Companies and Supervision 

 

Cadets are supervised in the accommodation by Trainers, Advisors and Councilors (TAC’s) . These are made up from Qatari Forces, International staff and Educational Tutors. The cadets are split by grades into four companies and staff are appointed to each company:

QLA provides a wide range of facilities for the cadets to enjoy in the accommodation and for their administration.  These include:

Visits

 

Parents are encouraged to visit QLA at all times, we do however, ask that 24 hours notice is given.  This is to ensure that we do not have any trips or events on that the cadets may miss, or that the cadet is not available to see his parents.

Within the school building we have a VIP room and an indoor Majlis which can be used for visits.  In the accommodation area we have Family areas and also an outdoor Majlis.
